The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakat, spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah's Cause - Jihad, etc.]. 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
