The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ There hath approached unto mankind their reckoning, while they in neglect are turning away. 1 Never cometh there unto them a new reminder from their Lord but they listen to it while they play, 2 their hearts are diverted. The harmdoers mutter to one another: 'Is this anything else but a human like yourself? What, will you follow sorcery with your eyes open' 3 He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." 4 "Nay," they say, "(these are) medleys of dream! - Nay, He forged it! - Nay, He is (but) a poet! Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (Prophets) of old!" 5 (As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe? 6 And We sent none before thee, but men to whom We made revelation -- question the People of the Remembrance, if you do not know -- 7 We had not made them such bodies that would not eat any food nor were they immortal. 8 Then We made Our promise good to them and delivered whomsoever We pleased, and destroyed the transgressors. 9 We have sent a Book, (the Quran), which is an honor for you. Will you then not understand? 10
