۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 they have enraged us, 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
