▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
