Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication. 45 then (as the sun climbs up), We roll it up little by little towards Ourselves. 46 It is He who has made the night as a covering for you, sleep as a rest for you, and the day for you to rise again. 47 It is He who sends the winds with auspicious news in advance of His benevolence; and We send pure water down from the sky 48 That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men. 49 We send them rain from time to time so that they may take heed. Many people have responded, but ungratefully. 50 And if We had willed, We would have raised up in each town a warner. 51 So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them. 52 ۞ AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water - the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban. 53 It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent. 54 And they worship such, other than Allah, which neither benefit nor hurt them; and the disbeliever helps the devil instead of his Lord. 55 And We sent thee but as a bearer of glad tidings and warner. 56 Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." 57 And trust thou in the Living One who dieth not, and hallow His praise; it sufficeth that He of the sins of His bondmen is Aware. 58 He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things). 59 And when it is said to them: Prostrate to the Beneficent Allah, they say: And what is the Allah of beneficence? Shall we prostrate to what you bid us? And it adds to their aversion. ۩ 60
