1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And said: "Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?" 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In gardens of delight, 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
