The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is torn apart, 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. 6 Then he who is given his Record in his right hand, 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them do not bow in adoration? ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 But God knows what they harbour in their breasts. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
