Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
