People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
