He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 you attend to him, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And whereas he fears, 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 mother, father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
