Verily We gave Moses the Book; so be not in doubt about his having received it; and We made it a guidance for the children of Israel. 23 and when they remained steadfast and firmly believed in Our Signs, We created among them leaders who guided people by Our command. 24 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ. 25 [But] can, then, they [who deny the truth] learn no lesson by recalling how many a generation We have destroyed before their time? [people] in whose dwelling-places they [themselves now] walk about? In this, behold, there are messages indeed: will they not, then, listen? 26 Have they not seen that We drive the water to the barren land and produce thereby crops of which their cattle and they themselves eat? Will they not then see? 27 And they say, “When will this decision take place, if you are truthful?” 28 Say thou: on the day of the Decision their belief will not profit those who have disbelieved; nor will they be respited. 29 Therefore turn away from them and wait, surely they too are waiting. 30
