1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 'No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Are we then not to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
