Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
