By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
