The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
