The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
