Al-Ma'aarej 2 of 2

WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 left and right, in numerous groups? 37 Does every man of them hope to enter the Paradise of delight? 38 By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know! 39 So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able 40 to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. 41 Then leave them alone to plunge and play until they encounter that day of theirs which they are promised, 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised. 44
