Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
