The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
