Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
