1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
