Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
