Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
