And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
