The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the sun and its light 1 by the moon when it follows the sun, 2 and by the day when it displays him 3 and the night as it veils it darkly! 4 by the sky and how He built it 5 and by the earth and That which extended it! 6 Consider the human self, and how it is formed in accordance with what it is meant to be, 7 And inspired in it the knowledge of its sins and its piety. 8 Prosperous is he who purifies it, 9 and he who corrupts it is sure to fail. 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel). 12 But the Messenger of Allah [Salih (Saleh)] said to them: "Be cautious! Fear the evil end. That is the she-camel of Allah! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!" 13 But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]. 14 He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). 15
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
