Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Just look at him, who belies the religion! 1 Behold, it is this [kind of man] that thrusts the orphan away, 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the poor, 3 So woe to those who pray 4 and are heedless of their prayers, 5 Those who make show [of their deeds] 6 And withhold the necessaries of life. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
