The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
