۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when Isa came with evidences, he said: of a surety I have come unto you with wisdom, and to expound unto you some of that wherein ye differ; so fear Allah and obey me. 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 On that Day close friends shall become enemies of each other, except those who fear (Allah). 67
