Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? 3 The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And the 'Ad were destroyed by the furious cold blast of roaring wind 6 which He let loose upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession; so that (if you had been there) you might have seen people lying prostrate, as though they were uprooted trunks of hollowed palm trees. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 Pharoah and those before him and the inhabitants of the overthrown cities persistently committed grave sins. 9 They did not follow the Messenger of their Lord, and so He seized them with a severe grip. 10 Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed. 18 Those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their right hands will say, "Come and read my record. 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 So he shall have an agreeable life 21 in a high Garden, 22 its clusters nigh to gather. 23 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." 24 And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he shall say: O would that my book had never been given me: 25 and had not known my account. 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 My wealth hath not availed me, 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. 32 "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. 33 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. 34 "So no friend hath he here this Day. 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 Which none but sinners eat. 37

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
