And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
