The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created the human 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
