Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise. 1 His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent. 2 He only is the First and He only the Last, and He only is the Evident and He only the Concealed; and it is He Who knows all things. 3 It was He who created the heavens and earth in six Days [periods] and then ascended the throne. He knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it; what descends from the sky and what ascends to it. He is with you wherever you are; He sees all that you do; 4 To Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. To Him all matters shall return. 5 He turns night into day, and turns day into night; and He knows whatsoever is in your hearts. 6 Accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and spend in His cause from what He has made you the heirs of; so for those among you who accepted faith and spent in His cause, is a great reward. 7 What cause have ye why ye should not believe in Allah?- and the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord, and has indeed taken your Covenant, if ye are men of Faith. 8 He it is who sends down clear communications upon His servant, that he may bring you forth from utter darkness into light; and most surely Allah is Kind, Merciful to you. 9 And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. 10
