No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning for people -- 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About the guilty: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
