Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
