Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Beholdest thou him who belieth the Requital? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 They who would be seen, 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7
