Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
