Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have made of water everything living, will they not then believe? 30 And We placed firm mountains on earth lest it should sway with them, and We made wide paths in them that they may find their way; 31 And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.). 32 And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming. 33 We have never assigned immortality to a human before you, therefore, if you yourself die, will they live for ever? 34 Every soul must taste of death and We try you by evil and good by way of probation; and to Us you shall be brought back. 35 And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who insults your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers. 36 Man has been created hasty; very soon I shall show you My signs, do not be impatient. 37 They say, 'And when shall the promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 38 If only the unbelievers knew of the Hour when they shall not be able to keep off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; nor shall they be helped. 39 Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved. 40 And indeed the Noble Messengers before you were mocked at, but their mockery ruined the mockers themselves. 41
