Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
