Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
