And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
