ART THOU NOT aware that We have let loose all [manner of] satanic forces upon those who deny the truth - [forces] that impel them [towards sin] with strong impulsion? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 who have no power of intercession, except those who have taken a covenant with the Merciful. 87 They claim: "The Most Compassionate Lord has taken a son to Himself." 88 Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing 89 the heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth break asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 That they should ascribe unto the Compassionate a son. 91 And it behoveth not the Compassionate that he should take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience. 93 He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly. 94 Everyone on the Day of Judgment will individually come into the presence of God. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people. 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
