The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
