The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
