Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
