And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
