The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
