Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains: 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment. 50 And tell them about Abraham's guests. 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 They replied, "Do not be afraid. We have brought you the glad news of (the birth) of a learned son". 53 He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?" 54 They said: we bear tidings of a truth; be then thou not of the desponding. 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 Then he asked, "What then is your business, O messengers?" 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 barring Lot's household, all of whom, behold, we shall save 59 but his wife. We decreed that she should be amongst those who remain behind. 60
