۞ And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 and drowned the other party. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
