The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 What! Do they not expect that they will be raised? 4 On a grievous day, 5 a day when mankind shall stand before the Lord of all Being? 6 Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 It is a (repository of) distinctly written record. 9 Woe, then, to those that give the lie, 10 Who give the lie to the day of judgment. 11 for, none gives the lie to it but such as are wont to transgress against all that is [and are] immersed in sin: 12 And when Our revelations are rehearsed unto him, he saith: fables of the ancients! 13 They will never have faith. In fact, their hearts are stained from their deeds. 14 Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day. 15 and then they shall enter Hell, 16 Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to. 17 Indeed the record of the virtuous is in the highest place, the Illiyin. 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed, 20 witnessed by all who have [ever] been drawn close unto God. 21 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, 22 On couches, gazing, 23 You will find in their faces the brightness of bliss. 24 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, 25 pouring forth with a fragrance of musk. To that [wine of paradise,] then, let all such aspire as [are willing to] aspire to things of high account: 26 and whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. 30 and when they returned to their own people, they would speak of them jestingly; 31 And when they saw them, they said: verily these are the strayed ones. 32 But they were not Sent to be guardians over them! 33 But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers: 34 On high thrones, watching. 35 Will not the disbelievers then be duly recompensed for their laughing at the believers? 36

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
