(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And let him share my task 32 so that we may glorify 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
